14 EV charging station coming soon in Delhi

Delhi government has started installing electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across Delhi at cluster scheme bus depots.

According to TOI report, the construction of charging stations has started at various places including bus depots at Chattarpur, Rani Khera, Rajghat, Seemapuri, Bawana Sector-I & sector 5, Dilshad Garden, Kair Dwarka sector-22, Dhichau kalan and Rewla Khanpur.

Delhi government’s enterprise Delhi Transport Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (DTIDC) has undertaken this project.

The EV charging station will be enabled with GPS and real time kinematic solutions to establish accurate positioning o f all the existing features of the sites.

The customers will be charged Rs. 2 per unit at new charging stations, compared with the rate of Rs. 10-15 per unit in other states, the Delhi government said.

The Delhi government plans to open 100 new charging stations across city by September 2022. Currently Delhi has 573 charging stations, 812 charging points and 318 swapping stations.
